What to expect…

When you arrive at your first MFR appointment we will take some time to discuss what brought you in, your goals and to answer any questions we both may have - a chance for you to get to know me and vice versa!

A brief assessment of posture and alignment in standing to start and then we proceed to the treatment table where the MFR therapy begins. This is a gentle, hands-on therapy with prolonged techniques - it can be very relaxing but it is better if you don’t fall asleep!

As I treat, I will cue you to bring your attention/focus into your body and notice the sensations the techniques might produce within, as well as to notice any connections in your body, your memories, emotions, and your breath. These connections aid me in knowing where restrictions and other areas for treatment lie.

At the end of the session, I will answer any questions, and teach you self-treatment techniques/exercises for you to practice at home.

Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams, or machinery.

This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.

Loose-fitting shorts or yoga shorts (must not cover the thigh) and a sports bra are recommended.

Please ensure that your skin is free of lotion and perfume.

My treatment room is a calm oasis, where my clients and I can be focused and centered and that maximises the potential for great results!
